Today\u2019s treatment went great, we had great weather leading\nto a very thorough treatment. The treatment area was very similar to the\nprevious treatment in May. In the areas that produce most of the growth I\nnoticed a lot of Milfoil, Curly Leaf Pondweed, Sago Pondweed and Floating Leaf\nPond Weed. The Milfoil had spread in size compared to previous treatment\nbut where the Milfoil was treated previously I am noticing very promising\nresults. In many areas the remaining Milfoil was significantly damage\nwith just the stems still present, these should drop and be mostly gone in a\nweek or two. The Curly Leaf and Sago will drop in about 10-14 days, both\nSago and Curly Leaf are invasive but very common this time of year. I\ntreated the Floating Leaf in a way to stunt the growth but not eliminate\nentirely at this point. The reason for this type of treatment is due to\nthe presence of the Milfoil. Floating Leaf is a native plant so I will\nnot take over the lake but eliminating right now could lead to the Milfoil\nspreading to these areas which we want to avoid. I am confident the\nMilfoil will respond nicely to this treatment and doing so I will target the native\npondweed more aggressively next treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Comparing East Georgetown to West you can definitely tell\nthat your lake was neglected last year. Please be patient and I will get\nEast Georgetown Shores back to the condition that everyone wants to see\nit. Keep me posted with any updates.
