Water-Ski Show Idea at GS

One of our residents is part of the Grand City Show Skiers. They have asked if EGSLA if we would be interested in hosting a show this year.

The show is approximately an hour long, the set up and take down takes time, probably an hour before and hour after. They have 3 boats that are USA water-ski approved and insured as are all of the skiers from a liability stand point.

They do shows at Reeds Lake, Indian Lake, Dumont Lake, Big Star Lake and at Coast Guard Festival again this year. The number of skiers is approx 30.

It is also enjoyable for folks to watch it from the water from the comfort of their own boat.

This year EGSLA is changing the method of water treatment and that will raise the costs. We also are going to be doing some work at the boat launch to make that a nicer space. We have therefore tabled this idea unless corporate sponsorship can be found to fund the $1,200 for the show. If anyone is interested, please let us know.

We have the preliminary schedule for the 2010 Lake treatment.
