Large Fish Caught in GS

There was a large fish caught on the ice at GS this month.  A 42″ Northern Pike was caught and would barely fit through the 6″ whole angered in the ice.  If pike are caught, it is time to keep them in order to let the other fish get a chance to grow.  Here is a photo of the fish.

Triathlon Update

Just a note that due to scheduling and sponsorship the inaugural Georgetown Shores Triathlon has now been scheduled for July 2014.  Stay tuned for more information and let us know if you are willing to volunteer.

Lake Water Treatment Schedule

Just a reminder that Aquatic Doctors Inc. is planning on having our first Weed Treatment on May 14th (depending on the weather). This treatment will have restrictions for 24 hours and notices will be placed around the lake when they are here.  More information on the treatment schedule can be found at this link. http://www.georgetownshores.org/private/blog/?page_id=23  RESTRICTIONS can be found Here water-treatment-2012

The one that did not get away

At our recent Annual Meeting for the residents, we had the privilege to see the evidence of the “one that did not get away”.  The photo below was caught by one of our younger residents and proudly displayed by his family.

We hope this will not detour the swimming in the lake this summer.  I am sure that this guy’s big brother is not still in the lake.

Thanks Max for showing your big fish.

Proposed Turn over Document

Residents,

Greetings to all residents of East Georgetown Shores Lake Association.  The first lots in our development were sold in the 1999 time frame and over several years and 6 phases of construction Georgetown Shores has  become a great place to live and build community.

Over the years the advisory committee has worked on behalf of the residents to help the developer in the daily operations and issues of the association.  We have been in discussions with the developer on a time frame for the turning over of the association to the residents.  Over the last few months the advisory committee has been working with the developer to protect their continued interest but at the same time give the residents control of the association.

Here is the Proposed Turn Over Document that has been presented to the residents for their vote of approval.  We will discuss this at the meeting at 9:00 am on April 14th and vote whether or not to accept the association under these terms.

Please review the document and be prepared to vote whether or not to have the advisory committee sign this document on all of the residents’ behalf.  If we vote to approve the document, we will work out the plan to transition from the appointed advisory committee to an elected association board.
