Georgetown Shores Common Trash Service Update ***Please Read***

Residents of EGSLA,  (Note Sent to residents on Nov 21, 2016)

When we had our Association Voting earlier in the year, the Board heard the collective voice of the residents to do our best to accomplish two goals by a Common Trash Service. The two goals were to 1. Attempt to Reduce Refuse Trucks on our roads 2. Lower Refuse costs for our residents. We have been working with the low bidder in the logistics of providing the service and sent a notice out We feel that after weighing the feedback of residents, we can accomplish both objectives best by NOT running the funds through the Association but specifying a single trash hauler and the best price for those members who need trash collection. Collective billing does not serve the interest of the Association since there is no reduction of cost and adds an unnecessary level of administration.

If you do not need trash service for some reason or are going to be gone for an extended period of time, this will allow you to deal directly with Everkept for these arrangements. If you do not have Everkept today for service and want to have local refuse pickup, you will need to change to Everkept for your trash service provider before the end of the year. They will give you Trash and Recycling service for $8.50 per month ($102 per year) and if you desire yard waste service, it will be $64 a year. When you call them directly at 616-669-2047 , please specify that you live in East Georgetown Shores Lake Association.

We only ask that no other Local Collection company be used.

Summary: Local Trash/Recycle and Yard Waste Collection will be billed directly to you.

Georgetown Shores Weather

Last year I placed a weather station out by the lake.  I have also added it to Weather Underground and you can add the data from this to your phone with the Weather Underground app.  We placed the Weather Underground plugin on the main page for the association and it is visible just to the right of this article.  You can also check out the data at this URL: https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KMIHUDSO25

Docks

Please make sure your Docks and Shore stations are out of the water soon if they are still in.  For safety sake, we do not want these objects frozen in the ice over the winter.
